Nu Skin's 12th Anniversary coming up - Recognizing top leaders

Next month, Nu Skin Enterprises Philippines will be celebrating its12th Anniversary at PICC. This is also an annual event which they call as Success Seminars and they basically showcase and give recognition to their top leaders and achievers. These new leaders are fine examples of a more compelling and inspiring lot of successful journeys in Nu Skin here in the Philippines. But more than anything else, they are fellow Filipinos, real people with real motivation and dreams. And what is the greatest secret? They have the courage to look beyond circumstances and stay in the business. They are ordinary people inspired to do extraordinary things.

15th floor Octagon building has been a subject of urban “myths” nowadays. ”Myths” that evolved to various stories on its own by different sorts of people and mindsets. To its detractors and illegitimate business counterparts, there are also myths that are promise but are not supported by actual results: Success. Valid and genuine success. Many network marketing companies promise immediate success to its distributors, often times giving them false hopes. More often, its successful members attain (not achieve) their successful status not through genuine work, but through manipulation, therefore attaining successes that are short-lived.

Nu Skin and Skin care - what do they really do and say

Curious for facts about what kind of company does really operate at the 15th Floor Octagon Bldg or 26th Floor Trafalgar Plaza, that calls you or people you know and leaves you puzzled on what exactly do they do? It's Nu Skin Philippines. And Nu Skin means NUTRITION for the SKIN, simply. It started as a personal care company, and not as a cosmetic company. Basically, it is in the skincare business and they always make it a point that everybody is knowledgeable about their products. And by skin care, Nu Skin Philippines stresses the following ethics for both its customers and distributors. Understand that Nu Skin promotes not just beautiful skin but also long-term healthy skin. It is not intended to be a “quick fix” regimen. When people switch brands, reactions may be natural. A reaction is simply an initial response to beneficial ingredients; just as a meat eater would react to veggies in the beginning. For people who have used oil-based products that clog the pores, this may be a detoxification period to rid the skin of toxins and deep-seated dirt. Now, these are just quick tips on how the company involves itself in the skin care industry.

Some facts on how their distributors address skin issues for their customers before recommending or selling their products:

People who do the Nu Skin business, the distributors, are not dermatologists, and people with extreme conditions are always encouraged to consult physicians as they are not medicinal - only nutritional. They always ask for history of usage of other brands of skin care. People who have been using products containing hydroquinone, antibiotics and steroids should rest their skin for 3-4 weeks before they can use any Nu Skin product for their face.

They never fail to ask if they had recently undergone dermabrasion or other skin peeling treatments (these treatments drastically lower the skin’s natural immunity and will make the skin super-sensitive). They always identify the skin type of their clients since not all products are suitable to all skin types. Nu Skin products are highly concentrated with no fillers, therefore, a small amount is all you need for the entire face (pea size). Too much may be too rich in a humid environment.

This is how detailed and meticulous they are in managing their brands, products, and credibility. Many people misunderstand the Nu Skin business as either a scam or a bogus skin care line of products. But always, by facts and real client / customer testimonials, are proven otherwise.

In the Media - g3 in LifeStyle Asia Magazine, December 2009

Nu Skin Philippines' (operating at the 15th Floor Octagon Bldg, Ortigas Center, Pasig City) one of their flagship products, g3, has been featured in LifeStyle Asia Magazine (December 2009 release) titled "Fruitful Harvest."

Nu Skin has been criticized by many as a "scam" and that invalidates its nature of business, therefore, making their products "illegitimate" by such allegations. However, such proof posted in this blog says otherwise. While other companies try hard to produce similar health products in the market, Nu Skin's g3 (dubbed "the fruit from heaven") has been proving its worth for your money, and ten folds worth for your health. Featured recently in LifeStyle Asia, not only does it validate the authenticity of the product, but the legitimacy of the company itself which produces and manufactures it.

So what is g3? Simply a miracle product that heightens your anti-oxidants ten folds in your body that defense against vascular and cellular free radical damage. It helps support cellular rejuvenation and helps slow the common effects of aging.

In the Media - Nu Skin opens a new office in Alabang

Last November 25, 2009, the company that operates at the 15th floor of Octagon Building, or Robinsons’ Bank building, that is Nu Skin Philippines, recently just expanded and opened a new Walk-in Center in Alabang. It was featured in the Philippines Daily Inquirer (December 16 2009 release). Nu Skin Philippines has been operating 25 years globally. Many people throw bad connotations and claim the company as scammers. But anyone in the right mind, may it be the cynics or the skeptics, know that no scammers can operate legitimately for decades globally and expand their offices locally without being pinned down. The company Nu Skin has been operating legally and no scammers are tolerated nor encouraged by its corporate management, either locally in the Philippines or internationally. The recent opening of a new Alabang Walk-in Center, featured positively in the Philippine Daily Inquirer, proves more that they are not around to fool anyone.

15th Floor Octagon Building is a Network Marketing Company and there's nothing wrong about it.

It is Nu Skin Philippines that operates at the 15th Floor Octagon Bldg, that's the fact. And it is an MLM / Network Marketing Company.

SO WHAT IS EXACTLY AN MLM / NETWORK MARKETING?

Network marketing can be described in a number of ways. Some describe it as:

  • "A multibillion-dollar industry"
  • "An efficient method of distributing a product or service to the end consumer"
  • "An opportunity to share a great product/opportunity with others"

WHY DO MOST PEOPLE FAIL AT NETWORK MARKETING & WHY THE NEGATIVE IMPRESSION?

There are a number of reasons people do not see the industry clearly:

  • They do not have clear, written goals
  • They don't give it an adequate amount of time and give up too soon
  • They don't believe in their product/opportunity
  • They want to make the big bucks with no or little effort
  • They are unwilling to take risks
  • They plan to fail, not to succeed
  • They are unorganized
  • They can't be easily reached
  • They don't set aside adequate time
  • They only look for money, (sometimes “get rich quickly” attitude)

NOW,

You can clearly avoid the traps above and sticking to the following tips:

  • Establish clear goals
  • Do away with the negatives
  • Take responsibility for yourself
  • Take advantage of all the services available to you
  • Keep learning new things about the industry
  • Keep learning new things about your product/opportunity
  • Be willing to change
  • Develop a “Positive attitude”
  • Work well with corporate staff
  • Gain more friends and have a fun working environment

HOW TO KNOW THE RIGHT AND LIGITIMATE COMPANY:

  • Do I believe in the company's products? Do the products have a unique selling proposition? Is it the difference demonstrated?
  • Is there a demand for the company's products?
  • Are the company's products priced fairly and of high quality?
  • Does the company offer adequate support for distributors?
  • What is the company's compensation plan?
  • What other benefits offered by the company?
  • Is the company well-established?

GOOGLE IT AND RESEARCH FOR YOURSELF. LOOK FOR FACTS AND DECIDE CLEARLY BEFORE MAKING ANY JUDGMENT

Real People and Service behind 15th Floor Octagon Bldg

Admittedly, people do get ‘wrongly invited’ and/or “persuaded” by those working in at 15th flr. Octagon Bldg in Ortigas Center, Pasig City, that almost likely seems to generate negative perception towards not only to those who experience such unfortunate undertakings, but eventually to the company itself which is Nu Skin Enterprises Philippines, Inc. The company, in fairness but not in its biased defense, never did deny the fact that they are a network marketing/direct selling company, nor did they ever solicit illegal ways and scams to communicate and treat their clients, customers, business partners, in ways that would deliberately discredit their more than 2 decades-long global operations. I know for a fact, because I have seen it, and have been part of it personally. My credibility as an individual may be vague by stating these things, but I would declare that my words on such matters are more than opinions, rather, a better judgment on a subject I personally see as a quite fair enough assessment based on not only factual information readily available, but also by the personal involvement I have experienced.

The independent Distributors are at the front-end of the business nature of Nu Skin, but rest assured, corporate management maintains protocols that sees to it that its policies and procedures are professionally executed at all times. Sure, anybody and everybody can be an independent distributor of the company if they wish to (providing legal and valid requirements), but trainings for its new distributors are conducted by the company itself or by international Nu Skin business leaders. These trainings are conducted for by Nu Skin to make explicitly sure that new distributors do the business legitimately and professionally. They are trained to handle it as their personal businesses and to never elude to a scam-like manner. Company policies and procedures are strictly applied like any other companies and corporations worldwide, and above all they practice moral codes of both (personal and business) ethics that the company compulsory teaches each of their new Distributors if they are to be made the sales arms of the company. They are deliberately trained not to deceive both customers and prospective business partners, otherwise, the company would be risking its credibility it has been maintaining (specially in a level of moral high ground). Not only does corporate involvement end after training its new distributors, but Account Managers are positioned closely and constantly to assist, monitor, and support active distributors. Not only do they provide support in the technical aspects of the business procedures, but they see to it that the business is done the right way and maintain professionalism in the field. Corporate Support is not limited to its distributors but also extends to customers’ needs and immediate concerns. And all these are done through a systematic standard operating procedure that is readily available virtually 24/7 and within the maximum use of current available technology.

Now this may all sound a hard sell and obvious defense of the company’s practices, but as I have stated, I am making such judgments because I have personally witnessed it. Negative attacks are pointed towards the nature of 15th Flr Octagon Bldg that interpret that the company is allegedly soliciting unprofessional ways of ‘inviting’ and scamming random people. Sure, there are a few rotten tomatoes out there that unfortunately do the business the wrong way, but Nu Skin does ways that these are dealt with accordingly. Such accusations are obviously present in the light of the negative stereotype that the Philippines view the MLM business. It is undeniable though, that other “ fly- by- night” companies do practice deceit and scam in exchange for short term sales, but Nu Skin and the caliber of business practice and products they have is definitely not part of it. It is unfortunate that some distributors put the company in a bad light, but the fact of it is that the company not only encourages its people to be professional, but requires it explicitly.

The sad matter is that, we are having these kinds of arguments, because of the people who did not give the chance to look at the business personally, and that some distributors’ unfortunate lapses in doing the business. But if one would be able to see it for themselves, at 15th flr. Octagon Bldg, Nu Skin’s head office and their primary Walk-in centers, people are greeted warmly there. The staffs are friendly, professional, and ready to assist and serve. They are real people, much like you and me, and it is always unfortunate that misunderstandings lead to negative judgments.
