Nu Skin’s Brand

I have been personally involved in branding in my career through the years, and Nu Skin has one of the best and dynamic branding system in the industry. On the slopes of market environment, particularly the local and overly ”negative” competitive landscape, the company tackles the following through its brand. Nu Skin is a network marketing, a fact they do not deny. And by saying so, it is a subset of direct sales. The primary audience is the direct sales distributor force (those of whom many are familiar with from the 15th Floor Octagon Building), making their customers the company’s secondary audience. Today, the network marketing industry continues to grow globally and across product categories. As they state from their corporate books which I have gathered, growth in the industry is due to two main factors:

1) An increase in individuals seeking job flexibility, income supplementation, and more control of their income generation; and

2) An increase in traditional retailers moving to direct sales as a distribution channel due to flexibility, agility, and a return on minimal advertising investment.

Core to its strategic positioning is demonstrating their difference—competitive advantages—through their people, product, culture, and opportunity. In addition to the new positioning and new fountain icon, they have made the strategic decision to not include “Enterprises” in the new complete logo (as it was formerly presented as Nu Skin Enterprises). Countering the negative perceptions of such industry locally, they are focused on clearly demonstrating the claimed difference. If an experience, service, or product doesn’t demonstrate how they are indeed different, and by extension better, then they simply don’t do it. By promising they can demonstrate difference, they are promising the best people, the best products, the best culture, and the best opportunity in the industry.

The point being, by writing all these information about Nu Skin’s branding and corporate identity, is to somehow stress the fact that they are a company legitimately focused on people, products, and genuine opportunity. A point that is not clearly understood by many in this industry. They are in continuous innovation and progress that many misunderstand. They are a company responsible not only for its products, its customers, but for its distributors who are their primary workforce. Shedding some facts further to communicate to those who negatively see the company at 15th Floor Octagon Bldg.

Nu Skin's "Pasko ng Pag-asa, Handog ng Nu Skin Kapamilya”

15th Floor Octagon Building, Nu Skin Philippines, is actually more than just doing business and selling products. Through their various goodwill projects, their non-profit/charitable foundation called Force for Good, they have partnered with other charitable organizations and successfully engineered various fund-raising charities through the years. This December, Nu Skin Philippines held "Pasko ng Pag-asa, Handog ng Nu Skin Kapamilya”, a fund-raising luncheon project under Nu Skin’s Force For Good (FFG) Program, for the benefit of the children of Child Health in Life and Development Foundation (CHILD) Foundation who need heart operation.

Distributors, Nu Skin's sales and Marketing Arm and the ones who actually "contact" you to present the business opportunity, supported this cause and bought tickets to a benefit luncheon where they had lunch with the children and got a chance to interact with them. Fifty (50) children with different heart ailments attended the event with their parents. The event also served as an early Christmas party for the children as they were entertained by a ventriloquist/puppeteer and other kiddie programs. There was also a gift-giving portion where the kids received toys as Christmas gifts while their parents were given a pack of groceries for their Christmas dinner. During the program, CHILD Foundation was also awarded PhP 2, 000,000 by Nu Skin Philippines and the Southeast Asia Children’s Heart Fund to support the heart operation of 40 children.

And it’s not just a one-time project or an annual campaign; it’s actually an ongoing activity and avenue for their distributors to actually contribute to a very good cause. So now I found out they not just call and do business with people, they also do real business in helping save lives. Too good to be true? Perhaps. But indeed, they do. No scammer has actually made a contribution this serious to society, hasn’t it? We do not need to be actual geniuses to know the difference.

Nu Skin President South East Asia is awarded Best Asian Executive by International "Stevie" Awards

15th Floor Ocatgon Bldg houses Nu Skin Philippines, and just recently, Nu Skin President of the Southeast Asia Region Melisa Tantoco-Quijano was awarded Best Asian Executive by the 2010 International Stevie Awards for Women in Business. To emphasize, the particular awards recognize the accomplishments of outstanding women executives, business owners and the organizations they run. Under Melisa’s leadership, the Southeast Asian region has become a center of Nu Skin and is currently the fastest growing region for the company. This also exemplifies the Nu Skin culture through Quijano's unyielding commitment to supporting local sales leaders, as well as her long-standing dedication to the Southeast Asia Children's Heart Fund. Overseeing six countries, more than 300 employees and nearly 4,000 executive distributors, Quijano led Southeast Asia to a strong year in 2009, generating $109 million in revenue. In addition to her sharp business acumen, Quijano also serves as an honorary board member of the Pediatric Cardiac Surgery Foundation of Thailand, a board member of the CHILD Foundation in the Philippines and board member of the Southeast Asia Children's Heart Fund.

This company humbly presents the fact that more than 1,200 nominations were submitted to the International Stevie Awards for Women in Business this year, and such recognition of a Filipino industry leader can't prove enough Nu Skin's genuine dedication and commitment to its core values. Many people remain skeptic about this company despite the facts, but one can just wonder why. Research is key. Credibility is key. Facts change the rules of the game. So here is the research. Here is the credibility. Think and see for yourself.

Nu Skin Launches ageLOC

It's not all calls and business at 15th Floor Octagon Bldg,as Nu Skin Philippines launches a new anti-aging product, ageLOC anti-aging skincare system. The product unveiling was held at the Ayala Museum, Makati last October 27, 2010. So what exactly is this skincare product all about? The ageLOC Transformation daily skincare system, recently awarded as Best New Product of the Year by 2010 International Business Award, delivers a promise of youthful looks by targeting not only the signs but mainly the sources of aging.

Nu Skin Enterprises Regional President for Southeast Asia Melisa Tantoco-Quijano proudly states, “While others are still addressing the signs of aging, we are effectively fighting aging at its source. Our products can address aging at the genetic level and only Nu Skin has the science to do this.”

“After only a few months in the market, the ageLOC opportunity has proven to be the best ever yet. Our performance as a region and as a company has never been this good. Our growth in sales and sponsoring has been the highest ever. And I know we are just beginning,” says Ms. Quijano.

Scams companies do not and cannot go to heights like these both in product innovation and industry recognition.  Nu Skin Philippines achieves time and again what proves and cements its leadership and credibility in the legitimate MLM industry.

Real People achieve real success in Nu Skin. No Hocus-pocus and short term achievements

15th floor Octagon building has been a subject of urban “myths” nowadays. ”Myths” that evolved to various stories on its own by different sorts of people and mindsets. To its detractors and illegitimate business counterparts, there are also myths that are promised but are not supported by actual results: Success. Valid and genuine success. Many multi level marketing companies promise immediate success to its distributors, often times giving them false hopes. More often, its successful members attain (not achieve) their successful status not through genuine work, but through manipulation, therefore attaining successes that are short-lived. Nu Skin Philippines however, with offices in 15th floor Octagon Building, has produced genuine successful business executives purely on legitimate and valid hard work and perseverance. They are called their Blue Diamonds, and they are not called as such for nothing.

Blue Diamonds are the rarest form of diamonds and it is evolved through the test of time, hammered by challenging climates, and formed out of the ordinary to be extraordinary. Nu Skin’s Blue Diamonds are explicitly described as its direct equivalent in the business. They are the cream of the crop, the achievers who stand out, surviving the challenging climates and test of time. They did the business exceptionally through hard work, and best of all, they are ordinary people who became extraordinary in what they do and how they live, because they have decided to.

Genuine Success in Nu Skin Philippines

Nu Skin Philippines brings genuine success to its distributors in more than a decade, proving the company's legitimacy and credibility to the industry. At the forefront of Nu Skin's success are their Blue Diamonds and they are people that Nu Skin brands who demonstrate enthusiasm – constantly. Inspiring leaders who have an abundance of passion for what they do. You cannot inspire unless you’re inspired yourself. Period. Passion is something that cannot be taught. You either have passion for your message or you don’t, and these people legitimately earned all these. They are leaders among already emerging leaders, and inspiring leaders tell memorable stories. There exist hundreds of Blue Diamond testimonies around the world, but most importantly, inspiring and compelling tales have also taken place here in the Philippines. Ordinary and relatable people, average Joes, students, even those with physical disabilities, have not hindered their road to genuine success. I have witnessed during my time with this company, how an ordinary farmer from Quezon struggling with a new family was able to ultimately achieve tremendous success in what before seemed to be impossible. His problems were real, that became subjects of his drive, and therefore his eventual success was real. He never resolved to take shrewd means to an end, only real hard work, motivation, and the promise and opportunity of a company, doing the real business in 15th floor Octagon Building. They are real people like you and me. Young people who became self-made millionaires at the tender age of 25 – 30, people living in poverty and tragedy who successfully changed their lives and the lives of the people they love.

What the Corporate People really do behind Nu Skin Philippines

Negative attacks are pointed towards the nature of 15th Flr Octagton Bldg that interpret that the company is allegedly soliciting unprofessional ways of ‘inviting’ and scamming random people. Sure, there are a few rotten tomatoes out there that unfortunately do the business the wrong way, but Nu Skin does ways that these are dealt with accordingly. Such accusations are obviously present in the light of the negative stereotype that the Philippines view the MLM business. It is undeniable though, that other fly by night companies do practice deceit and scam in exchange of short term sales, but Nu Skin and the caliber of business practice and products they have is definitely not part of it. It is unfortunate that some distributors put the company in a bad light, but the fact of it is that the company not only encourages its people to be professional, but requires it explicitly.

Nu Skin’s corporate management, trains and guides their distributors to do business the right and legitimate way…all the way. And they may be responsible for what their sales arm reflects upon them, but it is not fair enough to lay down verdict negatively towards it as a whole. That is my opinion, from what I have seen, experienced, and have personally done.

Why do people from 15th floor Octagon Building actually call you?

Admittedly, people do get ‘wrongly invited’ and/or “persuaded” by those working at 15th flr Octagon Bldg in Ortigas Center, Pasig City, that almost likely seem to generate negative perception towards not only to those who experience such unfortunate undertakings, but eventually to the company itself which is actually Nu Skin Enterpises Philippines, Inc. The company never did deny the fact that they are an MLM (short of saying, a Networking) company, nor did they ever solicit illegal ways and scams to communicate and treat their clients, customers, business partners, in ways that would deliberately discredit their more than 2 decades-long global operations.

On the other hand, people working in at the 15th flr Octagon Bldg are composed of two distinct structures with different distinct purposes: the independent distributors (the direct sales arm of the company) and corporate (management). Nu Skin Philippines DOES practice and follow professionalism in their services to their distributors & customers, contrary to what others point out at them otherwise.

The independent Distributors are at the front end of the business nature of Nu Skin, but rest assured, corporate management maintains protocols that see to it that its policies and procedures are professionally executed at all times. Sure, anybody and everybody can be an independent distributor of the company if they wish to (providing legal and valid requirements), but trainings for its new distributors are conducted by the company itself and not by other independent or third party entities. These trainings are conducted by Nu Skin to make explicitly sure that new distributors do the business legitimately and professionally. They are trained to handle it as their personal businesses and to never elude to a scam-like manner. Company policies and procedures are strictly applied like any other companies and corporations worldwide, and above all they practice moral codes of both (personal and business) ethics that the company compulsory teaches each of their new Distributors if they are to be made the sales arms of the company. They are deliberately trained not to deceive both customers and prospective business partners, otherwise, the company would be risking its credibility it has been maintaining (specially in a level of moral high ground). Not only does corporate involvement end after training its new distributors, but Account Managers are positioned closely and constantly to assist, monitor, and support active distributors. Not only do they provide support in the technical aspects of the business procedures, but they see to it that the business is done the right way and maintain professionalism in the field. Corporate Support is not limited to its distributors but also extends to customers’ needs and immediate concerns. And all these are done through a systematic standard operating procedure that is readily available virtually 24/7 and within the maximum use of current available technology.

The Business of Nu Skin is to sort; not always to sell

Nu Skin and people at the 15th floor Octagon Bldg contacts you under the process of Sorting, not Selling.

Nu Skin's business is much more a sorting process, than it is a selling business. It is this fundamental difference in philosophy that separates me from the multitudes of sales trainers, marketing “gurus” and book authors out there. I take no perverse pride in selling ice cubes to the Eskimos. I am not here to prove my manhood by demonstrating I can manipulate or trick a guy into buying something he doesn’t want, or can’t afford. There’s no integrity in that.

There is no greater way, however, in their business practice and best interests in presenting their marketing message in the best, most effective manner possible — to qualified prospects. Like any other company or business, you would want to outsell, outmaneuver and out market competitors, but you want to do it by offering a better value. Then you want to market that kind of value better than anyone else out there. And that’s what Nu Skin and these people want for you.

Why Do they Call You?

The Answer in plain view, and the fact behind the assumptions when somebody from 15th floor Octagon bldg calls you in the middle of the day. They say they are seeking business partners, a few motivated and entrepreneurial people with open minds who are serious about achieving an income and lifestyle that most people only dream about. Actually, it's not a lie. Believe it or not, that is the plain truth behind it.

There are no requirements for a specific business, nor a sales background is needed. The company, Nu Skin Philippines, has developed new systems and technology that enable focused men and women, not just sales people to enjoy the benefits of entrepreneurship while avoiding the downside risks.

Take time to investigate, find out why these men and women bother to talk to you, instead of ranting about it. Find out how you can affiliate yourself with an elite group of professionals with a proven plan of action. Find out if you qualify: that's the only key principle behind these "invites" and calls from people at the 15th floor Octagon bldg.

Nu Skin Southeast Asia’s "Star Potential" Regional Convention and new product launch

More info about this company? No other Direct Selling company in the Philippines celebrates and holds conventions and success seminars like these in the same prestige. Just recently they held the Southeast Asia "Star Potential" Regional Convention. This month, more than 6,000 leaders, distributors and guests gathered to celebrate the success of Nu Skin Stars and the launch of their new anti-aging technology— ageLOC™. They also recognized 47 new Blue Diamond Executives and 9 new 1 Million Dollar Circle Members and one of them is from the Philippines. They also recognized and celebrated with 2 new 5 Million Dollar Circle Members, Lillian and Daniel, Trin and Ji, and Southeast Asia's first 10 Million Dollar Circle Members Rayne and Angela. New product lines such as ageLOC™ Galvanic Spa® and ageLOC™ Transformation Set were highlighted throughout the event. Many stood in line to try the products and buy them.

Nu Skin Southeast Asia is not just the fastest growing region in the Nu Skin world, and they also had the most outstanding group of Distributors gathered as they displayed the "ONE NU SKIN" Spirit in this event. Also through the generosity of their charity arm, the Force for Good Foundation, they were able to raise more than S$217,000 during the event which will help save one child per day and more. Nu Skin's most ambitious goal has yet to become the world's leading direct selling company by generating more income for our distributors than any other company. Through an innovative product line, a generous, compelling business and a great corporate culture.

15th Floor Ocatgon Bulding - What is Network marketing really?

It is Nu Skin Philippines and it is a multi-level marketing, and that's the truth. And why do people get into this kind of business? The simple basic principle: to earn with integrity. The reason top earners that work with the companies have the ability to generate such a high level of income is because they use a distribution concept called network marketing. Now I don't know if you have heard tons of negative feedbacks about Network Marketing, or investigated any of the companies who use it to market products. Although, there are radical differences in the way this business structure can be used, it's basically a means that you can work as an independent contractor of a company. Which have already developed a proven product and business plan, established a network of distributors, and be paid on multiple levels of production within that business network.

In a nutshell, Network marketing is viewed by many business analyses as combining the best elements of traditional business. There are two different business plans utilized in network marketing: Most people’s perception of network marketing is probably retail related. They generally think of someone working out of their home, selling products and setting up customers. The retail approach has many of the advantages of owning a small business, but without the risk or overhead. Many people are involved in network marketing just to earn extra money.

The business end of network marketing is different, distributor’s work with the company to find people in the business community who are interested in starting their own business or diversifying into a highly profitable one. They then set them up as a distributor, participate in their training and then they receive a percentage of the production that comes from that organization every month it occurs, forever. It's an additive continual commission. This can build into a large residual, continuing income. The business provides an unlimited upside potential but without the overhead expenses or calculated risk normally found in business. This is the factual and corporate reality of what truly is behind the calls you receive from people in 15th floor Octagon Building.

Nu Skin's Marketing Process

Well it happened again today. Someone called you and what does she ask me? If you want to join her MLM program. And can you give her the names and phone numbers of my friends, family and employees who could buy her products?

And you have to wonder...will these people ever learn?

And it’s always the same. The “Business” they want me to evaluate, means to sign up as a distributor on their front level.

The people who make huge success a month deceiving in Network Marketing on a consistent basis, never do such silly stuff. They never use dishonest or duplicitous means to reach people. They don’t spam people over the Internet and they’re not cold calling on a business opportunity list. They don’t alienate everyone they know, and they aren’t chasing “skinny rabbits.” They are talking to qualified prospects, and getting quality appointments to make quality presentations.

Let’s take a look at the marketing process — something I think a lot more people should think about. Here’s why...

Exactly by definition, what is Nu Skin Philippines? Nu Skin brings consumers of the world state-of-the-art anti-aging products. They do this through access to advances in science, the selection of superior ingredients, and their ability to target individualized consumer needs. Most of all, they partner with highly trained and motivated global sales force (distributors) to provide consumers with results-driven products, service, and business opportunities. Open the Mind to the Truth

You are now seeing this blog, for one big reason: because you want to know the truth about what's been the subject of all the hearsays about 15th floor Octagon Bldg, and because you’re searching for more facts about the subject. Viewing the archives of this blog site, you will notice numerous posts about what is it that people seem to talk confused about what’s in this office, in 15th Floor Octagon Bldg in Pasig City, and 26th Floor Trafalgar Plaza in Makati. Redundantly and as to re-affirm, that company is Nu Skin and concurrently Pharmanex Philippines. For more than 25 years, Nu Skin has been developing products and resources in hopes for a better and promising future for millions around the world. Established in 1984 in the United States with a promise and commitment of producing and distributing skin care and health products made only from highly researched and rare ingredients.

15th Floor Octagon Building - the real ethics practiced by the company

What's in 15th Floor Octagon Bldg is Nu Skin Enterprises Philippines office and is already in the 12th year in the industry. 12 years for a multinational company is a pretty hard record to beat for something to be labeled as a “scam”, particularly here in the Philippines. Nu Skin Philippines is operating at the 15th Floor Octagon Bldg, in Ortigas Center, Pasig City. A subject of negative allegations and false speculations, Nu Skin Philippines actually carry 12 years worth of success in the following principle they practice. One of the principal ways that Nu Skin demonstrates its difference is through high-caliber people. This includes the global network of nearly 800,000 active distributors. The corporate office encourages their distributors to not only strive for continued growth in their business pursuits, but also in every aspect of their lives. When they say “encourage distributors”, it means to constantly look for ways to grow and develop, they become the kind of leaders who can overcome hurdles, inspire others and enjoy success.

That’s why, from the moment Nu Skin started, the central mission has been to improve people’s lives. Everything they do—from scientifically substantiated products to unique corporate culture and dynamic business opportunity—is meant to empower people to improve life for themselves and those around them. This focus on personal development has always been, and will always be, vital to their growth as a company. Simply implying, that the corporate is responsible for their distributors and that they would not risk such position in the industry in trade for deceit and scam.

Nu Skin's Sincere Beginnings

From its founding 25 years ago, Nu Skin Enterprises’ mission has been to improve people’s lives—through quality products, rewarding business opportunities, and an uplifting and enriching culture. In their non-profit Force For Good Foundation alone, Nu Skin has demonstrated how they were able to achieve this mission of improving lives in a global scale. Twenty five (25) years of hard and credible work didn’t take over night, and they’ve started from humble beginnings:

In a 1993 convention speech, Blake Roney, chairman and co-founder of Nu Skin Enterprises, used the phrase “force for good” as he shared his vision of how he wanted the company, its distributors, and employees to be known around the world. This phrase articulated the company’s values and has become the central theme of the company’s overall mission and philanthropic efforts. The original“force for good” campaign was introduced in conjunction with the Nu Skin Epoch® product line in 1996. This unique brand of skin and hair care products was developed in partnership with the world’s leading ethnobotanists—scientists who study the relationship between plants and indigenous cultures. A donation of 25 cents from the sale of each Epoch product is directed to preserve the environments, languages, lifestyles, and traditions of indigenous people around the world.

Not long after, Nu Skin Enterprises saw the need to formalize its philanthropic endeavors by creating an official foundation. The Nu Skin Force for Good Foundation was chartered to emphasize support for children, and continued to be funded from Nu Skin Epoch product donations. The Foundation is committed to making a difference for thousands, if not millions, of children for generations to come.

For the last 25 years, I believe Nu Skin proved their credibility to the world time and again, and I see no point why Filipinos would doubt them simply because of misinformation, often times, misunderstanding and misjudgment. Many are quick to be cynical by reading negative qualms, but how many truly looked the other way? By openly looking for the real facts, that Nu Skin is a legitimate and credible business for the past 25 years.

Nu Skin continues its humanitarian efforts

15th Floor Octagon Building, Nu Skin Philippines, is really more than business and products. through their non-profit/charitable foundation called Force for Good, they have partnered with other charitable organizations and successfully engineered various projects through the years. Last year, they supported the operations of 18 children from PGH in partnership with Child Health in Life Development Foundation – C.H.I.L.D. Foundation. Also this year, through Nu Skin's Force For Good Initiative, they donated the 2-Dimensional Echocardiogram machine for Philippine General Hospital’s Department of Pediatric Cardiology, costing P1.8M. while still continuing to support heart operations of kids for 2010.

Last September 28, 2009 when Metro Manila and the rest of the country got hit with "Ondoy", Nu Skin Enterprises Philippines initiated a donation drive from staff and distributors to help the victims. Through many people's generosity, they were able to gather close to P200,000.00 of monetary donations and was matched by the company. It also includes donations of clothes, canned goods, noodles and biscuits and assorted shoes, slippers, towels and bags.

And where did all these "Ondoy" Relief goods went?

TUMANA, MARIKINA - An area in Marikina that was drenched with mud and water caused by "Ondoy". Last October 2, Nu Skin staff delivered and handed over the goods to its 75 families. Victims expressed their deepest appreciation with a smile. No scammer has actually made a contribution this serious to society, hasn’t it? We do not need to be actual geniuses to know the difference.

What sets Nu Skin apart?

Nu Skin (or Nu Skin Philippines for this matter) is simply a vehicle for one to achieve two essential Freedoms: Time & Financial. The kind of freedom that is available to everybody, but somehow restricted to those who are willing to do whatever it takes to achieve it. Nu Skin offers one the chance, an opportunity, to make a person's life better. As employment is another vehicle, so is business. So why should Nu Skin's practice of business be any different? because in this ever changing world, traditional business may not always be quite palatable. Traditional businesses would require 100% of one’s own effort whilst Nu Skin offers the opportunity to cope with the fast changing world and still take advantage of the world’s readily available market. Saturation would always be a looming discouragement in thought, but it is only applicable to those who believe that the world is flat, or at least to those who are skeptic to themselves, the company, the products or in the idea of innovation.

Nu Skin, operating locally in the Philippines at 15th Floor Octagon Bldg, Pasig, is far from a scam others have been throwing at. A company of this kind can’t go wrong in 48 markets.

Nu Skin implements 21 years old and above sign-up for its new members

Many say that Nu Skin accepts or sanctions members and distributors that are still in their teens. Truth is, company implements a strict 21 years old and above signing up. The independent Distributors are at the front-end of the business nature of Nu Skin and corporate management maintains a protocol that sees to it that its policies and procedures are professionally executed at all times. Sure, anybody and everybody can be an independent distributor of the company if they wished to, provided they present legal and valid requirements. These are rules by Nu Skin to make explicitly sure that new distributors do the business legitimately and professionally. They are deliberately trained not to deceive both customers and prospective business partners, otherwise, the company will risk its credibility it has been maintaining.

Negative attacks are pointed towards the nature of 15th Flr. Octagon Bldg that interpret that the company is allegedly harboring under aged, teenagers, to do their business. Sure, there are a few rotten tomatoes out there that unfortunately do the business the wrong way, but Nu Skin does ways that these are dealt with accordingly. Such accusations are obviously present in the light of the negative stereotype that the Philippines view the network marketing business. It is unfortunate that some distributors put the company in a bad light, but the fact of it is that the company not only encourages its people to be professional, but requires it explicitly.
Nu Skin’s corporate management, trains and guides their distributors to do business the right and legitimate way. And they may be responsible for what their sales arm reflects upon them, but it is not fair enough to lay down verdict negatively towards it as a whole. That is my opinion, from what I have seen, experienced, and have personally done.

Nu Skin's 12th Anniversary coming up - Recognizing top leaders

Next month, Nu Skin Enterprises Philippines will be celebrating its12th Anniversary at PICC. This is also an annual event which they call as Success Seminars and they basically showcase and give recognition to their top leaders and achievers. These new leaders are fine examples of a more compelling and inspiring lot of successful journeys in Nu Skin here in the Philippines. But more than anything else, they are fellow Filipinos, real people with real motivation and dreams. And what is the greatest secret? They have the courage to look beyond circumstances and stay in the business. They are ordinary people inspired to do extraordinary things.

15th floor Octagon building has been a subject of urban “myths” nowadays. ”Myths” that evolved to various stories on its own by different sorts of people and mindsets. To its detractors and illegitimate business counterparts, there are also myths that are promise but are not supported by actual results: Success. Valid and genuine success. Many network marketing companies promise immediate success to its distributors, often times giving them false hopes. More often, its successful members attain (not achieve) their successful status not through genuine work, but through manipulation, therefore attaining successes that are short-lived.

Nu Skin and Skin care - what do they really do and say

Curious for facts about what kind of company does really operate at the 15th Floor Octagon Bldg or 26th Floor Trafalgar Plaza, that calls you or people you know and leaves you puzzled on what exactly do they do? It's Nu Skin Philippines. And Nu Skin means NUTRITION for the SKIN, simply. It started as a personal care company, and not as a cosmetic company. Basically, it is in the skincare business and they always make it a point that everybody is knowledgeable about their products. And by skin care, Nu Skin Philippines stresses the following ethics for both its customers and distributors. Understand that Nu Skin promotes not just beautiful skin but also long-term healthy skin. It is not intended to be a “quick fix” regimen. When people switch brands, reactions may be natural. A reaction is simply an initial response to beneficial ingredients; just as a meat eater would react to veggies in the beginning. For people who have used oil-based products that clog the pores, this may be a detoxification period to rid the skin of toxins and deep-seated dirt. Now, these are just quick tips on how the company involves itself in the skin care industry.

Some facts on how their distributors address skin issues for their customers before recommending or selling their products:

People who do the Nu Skin business, the distributors, are not dermatologists, and people with extreme conditions are always encouraged to consult physicians as they are not medicinal - only nutritional. They always ask for history of usage of other brands of skin care. People who have been using products containing hydroquinone, antibiotics and steroids should rest their skin for 3-4 weeks before they can use any Nu Skin product for their face.

They never fail to ask if they had recently undergone dermabrasion or other skin peeling treatments (these treatments drastically lower the skin’s natural immunity and will make the skin super-sensitive). They always identify the skin type of their clients since not all products are suitable to all skin types. Nu Skin products are highly concentrated with no fillers, therefore, a small amount is all you need for the entire face (pea size). Too much may be too rich in a humid environment.

This is how detailed and meticulous they are in managing their brands, products, and credibility. Many people misunderstand the Nu Skin business as either a scam or a bogus skin care line of products. But always, by facts and real client / customer testimonials, are proven otherwise.
